Set up mcp-server-templates in Windsurf
A flexible platform that provides Docker & Kubernetes backends, a lightweight CLI (mcpt), and client utilities for seamless MCP integration. Spin up servers from templates, route requests through a single endpoint with load balancing, and support both deployed (HTTP) and local (stdio) transports — all with sensible defaults and YAML-based configs.
Add this to ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json. Generated from the captured install method (docker); the mcpServers shape is shared across Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, and VS Code.
- Make sure Windsurf is installed and up to date.
- Open
~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.jsonand add the block above (merge into any existingmcpServers). - Provide any required API keys/credentials as environment variables.
- Restart Windsurf and confirm mcp-server-templates’s tools appear.
