Cookie Policy

This policy explains how MCPExplorer uses cookies and similar technologies, what each kind is for, and how you can control them.

Last updated: June 2026

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between requests — like a preference you set — and help operators understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) work the same way and are covered by this policy.

What we use

MCPExplorer is a mostly-static directory. We keep cookie use to the minimum needed to run the site and understand traffic.

CategoryPurposeRequired
EssentialCore delivery and security — load balancing, TLS, and abuse protection provided by our CDN (Cloudflare). The site does not function without these.yes
PreferencesRemember lightweight choices you make (e.g. a dismissed notice). Set only when you interact with such a control.no
AnalyticsAggregate, privacy-respecting usage measurement (page views, referrers) to improve the index. Used only where enabled; never sold.no

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time — every major browser lets you do this per-site or globally. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site; blocking preference or analytics cookies will not. Agent and API clients (/api/*, the markdown mirrors, /llms.txt) are stateless and set no cookies.
