Set up mcp-server-code-execution-mode in Cline

communitystdiowrite capable

An MCP server that executes Python code in isolated rootless containers with optional MCP server proxying. Implementation of Anthropic's and Cloudflare's ideas for reducing MCP tool definitions context bloat.

01Configuration
{ "mcpServers": { "mcp-server-code-execution-mode": { "command": "uvx", "args": [ "--from", "git+https://github.com/elusznik/mcp-server-code-execution-mode", "mcp-server-code-execution-mode" ] } } }

Add this to cline_mcp_settings.json. Generated from the captured install method (uvx); the mcpServers shape is shared across Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, and VS Code.

02Steps
  1. Make sure Cline is installed and up to date.
  2. Open cline_mcp_settings.json and add the block above (merge into any existing mcpServers).
  3. Provide any required API keys/credentials as environment variables.
  4. Restart Cline and confirm mcp-server-code-execution-mode’s tools appear.
